Mayor de Blasio revealed in his new housing plan that he will push New York to build higher and higher to make way for more affordable housing. As New Yorkers get squeezed together, they will need new strategies to navigate increasingly crammed streets. Pedestrians will have to navigate between extra scaffolding and food carts, construction sites and cabbies. As the number of New Yorkers increases by a million people in the next 20 years, New Yorkers will have to become increasingly sophisticated about how they walk.
Here are five strategies that you can start using now to help you navigate the increasingly packed streets.
